If you read my first post, you know how much I love my LTD EC-1000. I played that guitar every single day. Still to this day it is one of my mostly used guitars. That guitar has it all. After playing that guitar I knew that I was going to play guitar for the rest of my life. I knew I wanted to expand my collection of guitars. So, it didn’t take long for me to get my second guitar.
After receiving my first guitar for my birthday, I got my second on Christmas. I was the textbook example of a child waking up at 7am on Christmas to run downstairs and open presents. After ripping off the wrapping and opening the box, there it was. My second guitar!
An Epiphone EJ-200SCE acoustic/electric guitar. This thing has a beauty! When I strummed some chords on the guitar it sounded incredible. Man did that guitar sing! This guitar sounded even better than how it looked!
This Epiphone had it all. It had features like solid spruce top, maple jumbo body, rosewood fingerboard, and eSonic2 preamp with built in tuner. Epiphone outdid themselves with this guitar. This guitar is everything and more for my first acoustic.
My parents told me that they bought this guitar as ‘refurbished.’ At first I was a little concerned about it because it was a refurbished guitar. I didn’t exactly know what that meant condition wise. All I know is that the guitar look and sounded like brand new! I couldn’t tell the difference between my guitar and a new one. Plus they got it for a fraction of the new price. A great product at a great deal! They told me they ordered from Matt’s Music Store, a store that specializes in selling refurbished guitars. Their guitars are top notch! They have such a great selection to choose from.

After I received my two guitars, I truly felt like a rockstar! I was jamming out playing songs on my electric, while strumming chords on my acoustic. I was playing classics from Gun N Roses all the way to beautiful love songs. I really felt like I was growing as a guitar player.
I didn’t want to stick to just one genre when learning the guitar. I was told from a friend who played guitar that it is better to learn multiple genres. Man was he right! Whenever I was tired of practicing hard rock songs, I would switch to playing Jazz. By doing this I was able to practice for much longer because it felt like I was practicing something completely different. Even though I may not have been getting better at hard rock songs, I was still get better at guitar. Which doesn’t hurt!

Every guitar play remembers their first guitar and when they got it! I got my first guitar for my 15th birthday. After months and months of hassling my parents about getting a guitar, they finally caved and got me for my birthday.
I showed my parents photos and videos of the exact same guitar for months. I sent them my wish list on Guitar Center over and over again. I also printed out photos of that same guitar and left them laying around the house. So, I think they had a pretty good idea about what guitar I wanted hahaha! That guitar is an ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000.
This thing is a BEAST. A rock and roll machine. The Les Paul of my dreams! I’m talking mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard, EMG 81/60 pickups, 24 extra jumbo frets, push/pull control knobs. This monster HAD IT ALL.
